GUIDELINES FOR PLAYING TX-BJ

Texas-Blackjack is played on a layout mat that contains 5 betting stations numbering 1 to 5, and each player plays against the bank.

In each of the betting stations there are 5 new side bets comprising 11 areas for bets to be placed in, and one box for cards to be placed on.

Texas-Blackjack is played with a new deck of 39 cards total: 13 cards colored red-13 cards colored white - and 13 cards colored blue, except for the "A" which are all colored green and represent 0 and 00 in roulette, so when the dealer's first card is an "A", all player's lose half of their side bets, when the player's first card is an "A" that player only loses half of their side bets, and when the dealer and player both have a first card "A", that player loses half of their side bets and the players "A" wins at 1 to 1.

Each new deck of cards has the same values as in a traditional deck of cards i.e. Any card from 2 through 10 shall have a point value of its face value. Any Jack-Queen-King cards shall have a point value of 10 (ten). An "A" card shall have a point value of one (1) or eleven (11).

8 decks of new cards are equal to 6 decks of traditional cards, and the game is to be dealt from a continuous shuffling machine.

To play Texas-Blackjack, patrons place their bets in the betting area of their selected betting station (1 through 5) on the layout mat, corresponding to the particular outcome they wish to bet on.

All wagers are made prior to the dealer dealing any cards.

No wager in the side bets can exceed the wager in the blackjack box.

Once all wagers have been placed the dealer announces "no more bets" and deals one card face down to all player's in a clockwise direction, starting from the first player to the left of the dealer, and one card face down to the dealer. The dealer places each card in the appropriate space on the layout mat as it is dealt. After dealing all first cards (minimum of 2/maximum of 6) the dealer checks the face value of the dealers down card. If it is an "A" it is revealed to all players, then the dealer starting from the first player to the right of the dealer, reveals the value of all players' cards individually in an anti-clockwise direction, If the player's card is a non "A" then that player's side bets lose half and are removed from the layout mat. If any player's card when revealed is an "A", that player still loses half of their side bets, and if the player has placed a wager in the "A" circle that wager wins at 1 to 1.

If the dealer's card is a non "A", the dealers' card remains face down on the layout mat unrevealed. Then starting with the first player to the left of the dealer, the dealer reveals the face value of the first player's card and the outcome for that wager (except for the "dealer's first card" row bet) is immediately known.

The dealer then removes all losing bets which are retained by the house, and winning bets are paid out at the odds stated on the layout mat and returned to the player. If the players first card is an "A", and the player has placed a wager in the "A" circle that wager wins at 11 to 1, but the player loses half of their side bets. The dealer then continues the same procedure with all remaining players occuping a betting station. Having completed (take and pay) with all players' first card bets, the dealer then reveals the dealer's first card, and in a anti-clockwise direction, starting with the first player to the right of the dealer, completes (take and pay) on all side bets which contain a wager in the "dealer's first card" row.

Winning side bet wagers are those bets placed on possible outcomes where that outcome has appeared in the first two cards dealt in that round of play, i.e. first two cards = one "players" card and one "dealers" card.

Losing side bet wagers are bets placed on outcomes that have not resulted once the first two cards have been dealt, i.e. first two cards = one "players" card and one "dealers" card.

If a players first card is an "A" and the player has placed a wager in the green "A" circle that bet wins at 11 to 1, but the player loses half of their side bets. If the dealer's first card is an "A" all players lose half of their side bets. If both player and dealer have a first card "A", the player loses half of their side bets, and the "A" wins at 1 to 1.
